Integrative and relational therapy, online

How I Work

I am an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with the BACP, qualifying from Leeds Beckett University in 2023 in an integrative and relational approach.

I work integratively and collaboratively, drawing on a humanistic approach to therapy. For me, the relationship we build together is the foundation of the work. I believe that real change cannot truly happen effectively unless you feel truly heard, understood, and met without judgement.

I am trained fundamentally as a humanistic, person centred therapist, and I work collaboratively with you, meeting your needs within my training and capability. As a qualified Somatic Experiencing practitioner I can also offer an embodied approach, helping you connect to your bodily experience and understand the possible reasons your body expresses itself the way that it does. I have trained in online and telephone counselling, trauma and neurodiversity as well.

Rather than following a fixed method, I tailor my approach to you, drawing on different ways of working depending on what feels most helpful for your unique situation and goals. Sessions provide a space where you can explore what matters to you, at your own pace, and begin to move towards greater clarity and wellbeing.

In Our Sessions

Currently I work online only. I suggest working initially once a week or every two weeks. In the sessions I provide a space for you to talk and reflect on the challenges that you face in your life.

Between the third and fifth session I invite you to reflect on the sessions and give feedback on what is effective for you and what is not, so that I can cater the sessions around your needs.

I work long term with most of my clients and slowly taper the sessions as we progress. You might begin with a session once a week and later have one once a month, or longer gaps between sessions once you feel you are in a better place. You can choose to work with me in whichever way serves your preferences and needs.

Your First Session

I offer an initial free 30 minute consultation: a chance for me to explain how I work, for you to say a little about what brings you to therapy and what your goals are, and for both of us to see whether I can help you.
